Random Update

Posted by -NAZ-

Hey there!!!

This post is just a random post that I would like to share with you guys
on some of the things that I have done lately, what I'm currently doing and also
what I plan to do in the future.
  • As you all know I'm currently fasting and just recently my family and I went out to eat during the breaking of fast. This is so unusual because we have never went out to break fast before as far as I remember. We would usually buy some food at the Bazaar Ramadhan and eat at home. But we decided to break from the norm and eat at the House of Pakeeza which catered for indian foods. Throughout the fasting month there will be a buffet style eating during the break fast time. So it was quite delightful and totally satisfying. :)

  • I've been going out with my friends lately for a few times. Mostly to watch movies as always. Anyway last week we went out to Tropicana City Mall which is still new right after our lectures. There's nothing much there to begin with as its not that big. So we decided to watch District 9 at that time. I've been wanting to watch that movie like for ages already and finally had the chance to do so last week. Although the approach that was used to make the movie is a bit different than the usual and also the fact that its quite vulgar and damn brutal, but it lived up to my expectations as the story line was really great. It also made me think at how inhumane and cruel human beings like all of us can be.

  • Now on to the serious stuff. This whole month I need to complete my personal statement as in October there will be checking sessions with MABECS. So I went through the internet to read some of the samples that people wrote. There was this one which was really good and the person got into Oxford by using his personal statement. He wrote that he read a lot of reading materials relating to his course. So that is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish now! haha!! Bought two books and a whole bunch of New Scientist magazines to read.

  • Apart from that, I need to find some kind of exposure towards my course. So I wrote a letter to the Microbiology Laboratory at Universiti Malaya to apply for a study tour. This study tour would really benefit me as I can gain experience on something related to my course. I can also see the action going on in the lab first hand and I would definitely be able to write about what I learnt during the study tour in my ps.

Gone out again....

Hey there!!!

Ok today is wednesday and last monday I went out with my friends again.
And this time around we went mainly to watch Transformers.
Ya I know its a bit late and probably most of you watched it earlier than me,
but who cares man!! LOL =P

So we went out to The Curve and planned to watch it at Cineleisure
as there might be more available tickets there than some other popular places.
It was also a weekday, so yeah not much people were there when we came.
We all arrived and met up around 12 and we straight away went to Cineleisure
to buy our tickets and thankfully there was a lot of available seats to choose from.
We bought our tickets for the 2.30 movie of Transformers.
We practically had a lot of time before the movie starts so we went for our lunch
We ate at The Itallianies and it was my first time eating there actually.
This is what I end up ordering for my lunch:

~PENNE BOLOGNESE~

I ordered this for my lunch and it also came with a choice of soup and a drink.
All of this only for RM19.90 as this is actually under the offers they provide
for whoever that eats there for lunch.
If we ought to order that through the menu itself and not by using the offer
it will cost way more than just RM19.90.
Actually the dish that I chose wasn't really scrumptious as I tought it would be.
It basically consist of pasta soaked with tomatoes, that's all. huhu.
So when we finish eating our lunch there was still time before the movie starts
Hence this is what I did to finish off the time:

-I took random pictures in the restaurant-
(got nothing better to do)

Laura was doing the same thing as well. hahaha =)

Here if you look closely enough, Sue May is playing with her tomato paste. LOL =P

So after wasting our time long enough at the restaurant,
we paid our bills and went to the cinema at Cineleisure.
Right before going in the cinema and before buying our popcorns and beverages
we took random pictures near the movie posters.

I took both pictures and this last photo was supposed to include Sue May as well
but I didn't realise she was posing for the camera together with the rest.
We LOL when she realised that she was cut off from the photo.
Everyone was like staring at us. haha.

So finally we went to watch the movie and it was superb and spectacular.
Later on the others went back and I decided to buy some t-shirts before going back.
I went back by myself. Took the free bus and the LRT.

Owh ya before we met up around noon that day, I went to The Borders
and bought myself a new book to read during my holidays.
It's written by James Patterson, entitled 1st To Die

The Curve

Last Tuesday, a day right after I came back from Penang, I went out with my friends to The Curve.
There was six of us including me.
Actually since next week one of my friend, Juliana was going to leave HELP Uni. College and enter Kolej Mara Banting,
We thought what better way to go out together and maybe see her for the very last time (which I doubt it would be =D)

When we all finally reached there and gathered at The Street, it was around noon,
so we quickly find a place to eat as we planned to catch a movie around 1 o'clock.
We end up agreeing to have our lunch at the Sakae Sushi.

At the restaurant it had those moving platform with all the different sushi
so I picked some and end up eating like 4 small plates of sushi including a glass of green tea.
Guess how much that cost me, RM 22+, ya a bit on the expensive side
but what the heck! once in a while spending on good quality food =P

Later on after finishing our lunch, we head on to the Cineleisure and bought our tickets
to watch the movie 17 AGAIN, not really my choice of a movie to watch.
Then again, the movie was damn funny to be frank.
Not really expecting that but I laughed mostly throughout the movie.
It was also a bit awkward. haha.

So as suspected the movie ended around 3pm and Juliana had to go already as she had other plans that is her school friends are making a farewell party for her.
Then Laura and Sue May also left, leaving me Yi Chong and Valentine.
It was only 3 o'clock and I definitely don't want to go back just yet
Not that I have any better things to do at home anyway.
Clueless on what to do next, Valentine quickly suggested to watch another movie.
So we just agreed to that and bought tickets to watch FIGHTING
The movie was ok but I was about to doze off in the cinema actually during the movie.
Too tired I guess to even handle 2 movies in a row
or the movie was just plain and boring.

When the movie was over we all went back, the other 2 went back by their parents
and sadly I had to go back on my own.
I took the free shuttle bus from IKANO and went to the Kelana Jaya LRT station
from there I took the LRT to Asia Jaya and then took a bus to a stop near my house.
I reached home around 7.50pm, quite late and damn tired for sure.

IKANO

Tonight my parents and I went to the IKANO Power Center. Actually my mum wanted to go there to buy some groceries at the Cold Storage, but since its already night time so we planned to have our dinner at the IKANO too. So after walking here and there searching for the right restaurant, we end up choosing the Seri Penang restaurant. Below are some pictures I took in the restaurant =D.

-This is the front cover of the menu actually =P -

-The view inside the restaurant-
(Took it while "patiently" waiting for the food)

-This is my drink which is Ice Blended Honeydew with Pudding-

-This is what I ate that is Penang Char Mee Suah-

Then after we finished eating, my mum went to the Cold Storage to buy the groceries and my dad went to the Ace Hardware Store which is just beside the restaurant. While I went to the Sony Center to have a look at my desired hp and camera =D. I found the camera at the shop but I couldn't find the hp that is W902. So I asked the guy in the shop whether that hp is in stocked and he went to checked his computer and then said that its still not released yet. Earlier when I checked in the website, it said that the hp has already been released. Maybe because its still new and all. So after that I went to checked the camera that I really wanted which is the Sony Cybershot T77. Then the same guy came and showed me all the features in the camera and it made me more impressed of the camera and making me want it more!! lol. So after a while we went back home at about 10 o'clock. huhu.

Pakeeza!

Posted by -NAZ-

Tonight my parents and I went to a restaurant for our dinner that is at the House Of Pakeeza. It's situated at section 14 PJ which is nearby the mosque and just in front of the Academy of Balet. The food served there is traditional Moghul cuisine from the nothern part of India. These are some pictures I took from my mum's hp camera =).

-Took some pictures of the whole restaurant as viewed from the outside-

-The view inside the restaurant which is quite beautiful actually-

-The delicious food that we ate-

Although the prices of the food may be a bit pricey but its worth it for us as we had a great dinner tonight. The most delicious thing that I ate there must be the Palak Paneer which is the green stuff that you can see from the photo above. It actually consist of veggies + cheese that is blended together I suppose =P. huhu. But all in all we had a great dinner and we enjoyed the food! So if possible, go to this restaurant and try their delicious food (ceyh! promote ni!).
