Hi there!!

I finally finished reading The Biotech Century book!!
After like almost a week or so reading it whenever I have the time
like during lunch at college which I don't go to of course as I was fasting
and also at night which I ended up sleeping after a while as I read it on my bed. lol!!
All in all I find the book superbly written although there was some parts that don't really make sense to me
but there was a whole lot of facts that really intrigued me in the book.
One of it was like the endless possibilities that biotechnologies have
in reconstructing our very own nature and also of all the living organisms including us!
There were a lot of questions put forward by the writer which gave a chance
for the reader to ponder by themselves of what the answer should be to that question.
The book is well written in such a way that the pros and cons of the biotech century is not biased
nor does his own opinion biased towards any of the sides.
Everything is really up to the reader whether to see The Biotech Century in a good way,
the bad way or even both as all actions do have its consequences one way or the other.

Ok enough said on the book
Moving on to the things that are currently revolving in my life.
Something like only 2 days left of fasting which then will be Hari Raya Celebrations!!!!!
Seriously can't wait for raya with all those delicious foods, family gatherings
and of course DUIT RAYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $_$
New baju melayu has been bought and this year I'm wearing purple.
Besides than that nothing much is done for raya preparation as usual
not like when I was small which we will be putting up pelita all around the house before raya
and play with firecrackers. Those times were precious. Good memories :)

Other than that, there will be a Chemistry test after raya
and by the way we only have 2 days of holidays as raya falls on sunday this year
so next week on thursday I'll be having the test and I need to study!!!!
Whatever it is I am so not studying during raya.
Though I hope I can for the sake of acing the test.huhu..

That is all for now. Bye!

Random Update

Posted by -NAZ-

Hey there!!!

This post is just a random post that I would like to share with you guys
on some of the things that I have done lately, what I'm currently doing and also
what I plan to do in the future.
  • As you all know I'm currently fasting and just recently my family and I went out to eat during the breaking of fast. This is so unusual because we have never went out to break fast before as far as I remember. We would usually buy some food at the Bazaar Ramadhan and eat at home. But we decided to break from the norm and eat at the House of Pakeeza which catered for indian foods. Throughout the fasting month there will be a buffet style eating during the break fast time. So it was quite delightful and totally satisfying. :)

  • I've been going out with my friends lately for a few times. Mostly to watch movies as always. Anyway last week we went out to Tropicana City Mall which is still new right after our lectures. There's nothing much there to begin with as its not that big. So we decided to watch District 9 at that time. I've been wanting to watch that movie like for ages already and finally had the chance to do so last week. Although the approach that was used to make the movie is a bit different than the usual and also the fact that its quite vulgar and damn brutal, but it lived up to my expectations as the story line was really great. It also made me think at how inhumane and cruel human beings like all of us can be.

  • Now on to the serious stuff. This whole month I need to complete my personal statement as in October there will be checking sessions with MABECS. So I went through the internet to read some of the samples that people wrote. There was this one which was really good and the person got into Oxford by using his personal statement. He wrote that he read a lot of reading materials relating to his course. So that is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish now! haha!! Bought two books and a whole bunch of New Scientist magazines to read.

  • Apart from that, I need to find some kind of exposure towards my course. So I wrote a letter to the Microbiology Laboratory at Universiti Malaya to apply for a study tour. This study tour would really benefit me as I can gain experience on something related to my course. I can also see the action going on in the lab first hand and I would definitely be able to write about what I learnt during the study tour in my ps.

3rd Degree

Hey there!!!
I finally finished reading this book and it kept getting better and better throughout the series.
So as usual this is a synopsis of the story:

One of James Patterson's best loved heroines is about to die. Detective Lindsay Boxer is jogging along a beautiful San Francisco street when a fiery explosion rips through the neighborhood. A town house owned by an Internet millionaire is immediately engulfed in flames, and when Lindsay plunges inside to search for survivors, she finds three people dead. An infant who lived in the house cannot be found - and a mysterious message at the scene leaves Lindsay and the San Francisco Police Department completely baffled.

Then a prominent businessman is found murdered under bizarre circumstances, with another mysterious message left behind by the killer. Lindsay asks her friends Claire Washburn of the medical examiner's office, Assistant D.A. Jill Bernhardt, and Chronicle reporter Cindy Thomas to help her figure out who is committing these murders-and why they are intent on killing someone every three days.

Even more terrifying, the killer has targeted one of the four friends who call themselves the Women's Murder Club.

Which one will it be?

While the investigation rages furiously, Lindsay works very closely with a federal officer assigned to the case. At the same time, she learns that one member of the Women's Murder Club is hiding a secret so dangerous and unbelievable that it could destroy them all.

Book SALE

Posted by -NAZ-

Its been a while since I posted anything on my blog lately.
The thing is there's just nothing much to say about.
Ya I know its like the holidays and all and I should've find something to do
worthy of being shared in my blog right?
But I'm just taking a step back and relax this entire 3 WEEKS of holidays!

Well actually I did something rather than just laze around in the house.
Last wednesday if I'm not mistaken, I went out with my brother
to one of this warehouse or something nearby my house.
MPH were like having this huge book sale there. So what the heck right?
Who would've want to miss this rare opportunity. I know I don't.
So I went there on the first day it started this book sale.
Surprisingly there was quite a lot of people when I got there.
So I straight away search the entire place for the books that I was looking for.

I was soo determine to lay my hands on the rest of the
Womens Murder Club series by James Patterson.
And I did just that, I finally completed the series.
Having had the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd book I just need to get the other 5 of them.
Some of the books there was so freaking cheap.
The reason being that its an old publication of course.
3 of the books I bought was from an old publication so it cost me as low as RM15 each.
The other two which is still new I bought with a 30% off of each of them.
So I ended up paying a very good price for 5 books in total.
It cost me around RM 1*4.

So yeah you can say I was super satisfied and now I know that there won't be a single minute in
the near future that I'll waste anymore having had all this book just waiting for me to read it.

-The books that I bought-

p/s: I just watched Step Up 2 just now in tv and it was soooo damn cool.

really wished I could do some of the moves. LOLZ!!

I just finished reading this book last night like around 1 am++
Just wanted to share with you guys a bit of the synopsis.

The Women's Murder Club is back! A brutal madman sprays bullets into a crowd of children leaving a San Francisco church. Miraculously-or was it intentionally?-only one person dies. Then an elderly black woman is hung. Police homicide inspector Lindsay Boxer senses a connection and together with medical examiner Claire, assistant D. A. Jill, and Chronicle reporter Cindy, finds a link that sends a chill through the entire nation. This killer's motives are unspeakable.

From my point of view, this book is truly a good book to read
and there is always a twist at the very end.

1st To Die

Hey there everyone!!!
I just finished reading this book and would like to share it with you guys =)

Four women-four friends-share a determination to stop a killer who has been stalking newlyweds in San Francisco. Each one holds a piece of the puzzle: Lindsay Boxer is a homicide inspector in the San Francisco Police Department, Claire Washburn is a medical examiner, Jill Bernhardt is an assistant D.A., and Cindy Thomas just started working the crime desk of the San Francisco Chronicle.

But the usual procedures aren't bringing them any closer to stopping the killings. So these women form a Women's Murder Club to collaborate outside the box and pursue the case by sidestepping their bosses and giving one another a hand.

The four women develop intense bonds as they pursue a killer whose crimes have stunned an entire city. Working together, they track down the most terrifying and unexpected killer they have ever encountered-before a shocking conclusion in which everything they knew turns out to be devastatingly wrong.

Full of the breathtaking drama and unforgettable emotions for which James Patterson is famous, 1st to Die is the start of a blazingly fast-paced and sensationally entertaining new series of crime thrillers.

Gone out again....

Hey there!!!

Ok today is wednesday and last monday I went out with my friends again.
And this time around we went mainly to watch Transformers.
Ya I know its a bit late and probably most of you watched it earlier than me,
but who cares man!! LOL =P

So we went out to The Curve and planned to watch it at Cineleisure
as there might be more available tickets there than some other popular places.
It was also a weekday, so yeah not much people were there when we came.
We all arrived and met up around 12 and we straight away went to Cineleisure
to buy our tickets and thankfully there was a lot of available seats to choose from.
We bought our tickets for the 2.30 movie of Transformers.
We practically had a lot of time before the movie starts so we went for our lunch
We ate at The Itallianies and it was my first time eating there actually.
This is what I end up ordering for my lunch:

~PENNE BOLOGNESE~

I ordered this for my lunch and it also came with a choice of soup and a drink.
All of this only for RM19.90 as this is actually under the offers they provide
for whoever that eats there for lunch.
If we ought to order that through the menu itself and not by using the offer
it will cost way more than just RM19.90.
Actually the dish that I chose wasn't really scrumptious as I tought it would be.
It basically consist of pasta soaked with tomatoes, that's all. huhu.
So when we finish eating our lunch there was still time before the movie starts
Hence this is what I did to finish off the time:

-I took random pictures in the restaurant-
(got nothing better to do)

Laura was doing the same thing as well. hahaha =)

Here if you look closely enough, Sue May is playing with her tomato paste. LOL =P

So after wasting our time long enough at the restaurant,
we paid our bills and went to the cinema at Cineleisure.
Right before going in the cinema and before buying our popcorns and beverages
we took random pictures near the movie posters.

I took both pictures and this last photo was supposed to include Sue May as well
but I didn't realise she was posing for the camera together with the rest.
We LOL when she realised that she was cut off from the photo.
Everyone was like staring at us. haha.

So finally we went to watch the movie and it was superb and spectacular.
Later on the others went back and I decided to buy some t-shirts before going back.
I went back by myself. Took the free bus and the LRT.

Owh ya before we met up around noon that day, I went to The Borders
and bought myself a new book to read during my holidays.
It's written by James Patterson, entitled 1st To Die

Hey you guys!!!
I have just finished reading this book and it was a great book indeed.
This book is perfect for those who love mystery novels.
So I want to share it with you guys about the synopsis of the story.
Here goes the synopsis:
A perfect family vacation turns into a life-or-death nightmare.

SET SAIL
Only an hour out of port, the Dunne family's summer getaway to paradise is already turning into the trip from hell. Carrie, the eldest, has thrown herself off the side of the boat in a bid for attention. Sixteen-year-old Mark is getting high belowdecks. And Ernie, their ten-year-old brother, is nearly catatonic. It's shaping up to be the worst vacation ever.

SOAK UP THE SUN
Katherine Dunne had hoped this trip would bring back the togetherness they'd lost when her husband died four years earlier. Maybe if her new husband, a high-powered Manhattan attorney, had been able to postpone his trial and join them it would all have been okay....

PREPARE TO DIE
Suddenly, a disaster hits–and it's perfect. Faced with real danger, the Dunnes rediscover the meaning of family and pull together in a way they haven't in a long time. But this catastrophe is just a tiny taste of the danger that lurks ahead: someone wants to make sure that the Dunne family never makes it out of paradise alive.
With whiplash plot twists, speedboat pacing, and an eye for the evil that can lie behind even the most gorgeous setting, James Patterson delivers Sail.
